A: A bathtub is recommended to be reglazed for a variety of reasons including; stains, peeling, rust spots, black discoloring, or when a change of color is desired


Q: What is the estimated time for a reglazing project?

A: Bathtubs, whirlpools, countertops, sinks, and most other surfaces can be completed within 1 day.


Q: What types of colors are available?

A: A2Z Bathrooms offers all major colors found in the Kohler collection. In addition, we are able to match any other color desired to complete your remodeling project.


Q: How long does a reglazed surface take to dry?

A: Typically, 48 hours


Q: How should I prepare for my reglazing project?

A: Remove all miscellaneous items and anyone with a respiratory condition might consider leaving the area while the spraying is being done.


Q: How long will a newly reglazed surface last?

A: About 10-12 years with proper care and maintenance.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Q: I just had my bathtub reglazed. What cleaning products are safe to use?

A: Non-abrasive cleaners are best to use on reglazed surfaces. These include; Dow Scrubbing Bubbles, Lysol Tub & Tile Cleaner, Lime Away Cleaner, Mr. Clean, All-purpose dish soap.  Never use; Comet cleaners, Ajax cleaners, or any abrasive cleaners.


Q: How do I know if a cleaning product is safe to use?

A: Most products are labeled on the back whether they are safe to use on refinished surfaces


Q: My drainage pipes are clogged. Is Drano safe to use on my reglazed bathtub?

A: No, Drano and other products with acids are harmful to a reglazed surface. Be very careful when pouring these products down the drain.


Q: What types of bathtub mats can I use on my reglazed bathtub?

A: Do not use any mats with suction cups on a reglazed bathtub. If you desire a non-skid mat we can install a permanent one or apply non-skid granules to the bottom of the tub.
